I enjoy playing Wizards. I’ve recently started playing with 5th Edition and really like the fact that first level Wizards have more than one spell! When choosing my spells I tend (with notable exceptions!) to go for those with no material components as this greatly reduces costs and kinda ‘frees up’ the wizard to cast in less than optimal circumstances. To this end I made the following chart to help me choose spells:
