Having fun with HERO FORGE

Hero Forge. Honestly, I do not know many gamers that have not at least played with the interface, goofed around…..or (like my group) used the app to create a snapshot of what their character looks like (especially if they have no artistic ability - like me). But what is Hero Forge really? Lets check their website:

Hero Forge® is a platform which lets you design and order custom tabletop miniatures and statuettes. Gone are the days of having to root through poorly stocked shelves or pour over low-resolution image galleries to find your perfect mini: now you can design it from the ground up. Using the latest in web and 3D printing technology, you can visualize your hero in 3D, export images for your character sheet or favorite virtual tabletop program, and order a bespoke, custom miniature.

One of the other things you can do is buy the STL file, and print your own…..which our in-house painter Russ (@Splashdamage1) did.

Check out his results below:

What a great tool. Visualize, Build, Print and Paint. What a wonderful world we live in today where things we could only dream about doing in the 80s literally are happening overnight.

I cannot stress enough how valuable Hero Forge is to the gaming community - All of us here HIGHLY endorse them. Please visit heroforge.com, follow them on Social Media and just overall support them, especially for the FREE services they offer.

Finally, one day we here at DrunkardsAndDragons, we were playing around with the application and wanted to see if we could recreate ourselves. Needless to say, on my first attempt I was told that I was not drunk enough, the second was closer…….ending up with the final rendition that was generally agreed upon to be the most accurate rendition possible, although Glenn still insists that I am missing a boot being tactically placed.
