Venger is coming back!?!

Fans of the iconic Dungeons & Dragons franchise can rejoice as Wizards of the Coast announced the return of one of the game's most notorious villains. The sinister sorcerer Venger, the main antagonist of the original animated series, is set to make a comeback in an upcoming adventure. While details about the nature of his return remain unknown, it's expected that the wicked caster will play a significant role in an upcoming Dungeons & Dragons sourcebook.

Venger, known for his mastery of spells and his obsession with claiming the protagonists' magical weapons, was voiced by the legendary Peter Cullen in the original animated series. He is a powerful entity who pursues the party relentlessly to claim their magical items, believing they would grant him dominion over the realm. In an unproduced episode of the show, it's revealed that Venger is actually the son of the Dungeon Master. Fans of the franchise eagerly await the return of this iconic villain and the challenges he will pose to adventurers.

The return of Venger isn't the only nostalgic revival Dungeons & Dragons fans have to look forward to. The core party of the original animated series, Hank, Eric, Diana, Presto, Sheila, and Bobby, will make a cameo appearance in the upcoming live-action film Honor Among Thieves. The group will be seen participating in a labyrinth challenge where they successfully loot a chest. Additionally, the group is set to make a return in the form of a four-issue comic book series, described by the creative team as a "lost episode" of the show. With all these exciting developments, it's a great time to be a Dungeons & Dragons fan.
