Reaper 89001: Red Dragon…turned Blue

A while back I was doing a project I called “The Dragons of Covid”.

Working from home had given me a bit of extra time during the day as I no longer had to commute to work.  I used this time to paint Dragons.  One of the first dragons I painted was the Reaper Red Dragon.

After examining the figure, I couldn’t see this fella as a RED dragon.  He reminded me much more of a BLUE dragon.  My conceptions of what dragons looked like are all based on the original Monster Manual artwork by Dave Trampier.

This also led my choices in basing the figure.  Blue dragons are found in deserts and arid lands. I think he came out pretty well.  What do you think?
